What to See and Do on Vacation in the Hautes-Alpes?
Les 2 Soleils Campsite is ideally located in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, in Serres, making it a perfect starting point for exploring all the area’s tourist attractions.
Less than 2 kilometers from the campsite, head toward the heart of the town of Serres, a charming medieval town where you can stroll through the picturesque narrow streets.
Near the campsite, the town of Sisteron is well worth a visit. Nicknamed “the pearl of Haute-Provence” and nestled at the foot of the Rocher de la Baume, its natural setting is simply exceptional. Be sure to visit the citadel overlooking the town, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view.
Other villages, such as Veynes and Saint-André-de-Rosans with its priory, will charm you just as much.
In this part of Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, there are plenty of ways to cool off!
Located near the campsite and Serres, the Germanette Recreation Center offers a wide variety of activities for families to enjoy water-based fun. (Free on-site parking is available for your convenience.)
You can also visit the Riou lake, located in Saint-Genis in the Hautes-Alpes, where you can swim in the lake and enjoy a variety of water sports. (Free parking on site)
Another must-see in the region, near our campsite, is the Méouge Gorges in the heart of the Baronnies Provençales Natural Park, a designated Natura 2000 site—it’s the perfect spot for a refreshing dip in turquoise waters with the family. (Free parking near the site with a shuttle service to the site during the summer months)
For nature lovers, continue exploring our beautiful region by venturing into the Dévoluy Massif, with its rugged, rocky landscapes dotted with peaks rising to over 2,700 meters in elevation. The mountains and cirques are waiting for you!
