Lovely site and location , lovely swimming pool area and views over the lake .the toilet block was very dated and smelt of drains , only 1 wash hand basin was available, overall the facilities were not 5 star

My stay was fine but the pitch I was allocated was not at all suitable for a Motorhome to steep to get onto and likely to burn clutch out doing so I asked for another pitch that wasn’t so steep but impossible to get level so got another pitch which was ok. I think reception need to know what unit you have and also know more about pitches as it is much easier to level a caravan than a Motorhome.

Excellent reception staff, sorted a change of pitch very politely and efficiently.I feel that not being able to select your own pitch is a retrograde development.It is nice to look round and find a pitch that suits your needs rather than be allocated one. The restaurant used to be a very high standard of cuisine, even the locals frequented the restaurant.Now it is very basic, tables outside are cheap and basic, the one waitress on duty was over run with the pressure of serving the customers on her own.Decided not to bother eating there unfortunately.Please review your restaurant and get it back to the high standard we used to have. Toilet block also smells badly maybe problem with d4ains. Hope you can improve these matter as a customer of twenty years would love to see this happen

Front desk suggested something special - but restaurant not available and the local area was a bit run down. Sanitary facilities were not good - handwashing was not near toilets and showers did not feel clean.

Loved this site, wish we’d found it earlier and spent more time here, only got to stay 4 days. Was lovely and it would have been a perfect 10/10 but there was an issue right at the end of our stay where a mistake had been made with our booking and we had to leave our pitch early. They found us another pitch to go for 5-6hrs but it was a bit of a hassled to pack to move a few meters. However , with that being said, I’d still go back in a heart beat. Lovely site, lovely people and the lake is brilliant.

Wonderful welcome. We loved the kareoke and the aqua aerobics. Incredible enthusiasm from the sports coach. The kids loved the pool slide and aqua parc. Very friendly helpful staff.

Overall the experience was excellent, the facilities are all clean and in good condition, the staff are friendly, welcoming and responsive to any needs. There was an issue with one of our beds where the slats were broken on arrival and had previously been taped up rather than replaced and these then broke again during our stay but I would not say this inconvenienced us in any way and it may have been a previous customer that did this an taped it up rather than reporting it. I reported this to reception on departure so this could be corrected. An improvement that could be made would be to open the bar in the mornings so there would be the option of having a coffee or tea on the terrace with pastries from the shop overlooking the lake. Or an alternative would be a coffee wagon similar to the crepe wagon that could be put out on the terrace to entice people to buy some as they are passing to get their ordered pastries.

Small plots not properly divided, ours was quite dirty as could see cigarette ends and bits of litter, site was simply too busy and packed in like sardines. Our welcome was average although we were told restaurant fully booked, no bakery all weekend as its a bank holiday. Shop had limited basics (no milk or eggs!) so we had to inmediately leave the site to find a supermarket. Pool area was tiny and rammed the entire time so we didn’t bother. Ordered takeaway pizza from the bar one evening and the staff made us feel like we were a real annoyance. Overall I feel we paid a premium for a site with a pool, a restaurant, services like bakery, a shop and yet none of these could really be used or enjoyed by us. Rates as one of our worst campsite choices to be honest.

We had a great stay, just 2 negatives, in our opinion the pool is too small for the amount of people staying. Also the food in the restaurant was lovely but the service was very slow after our main course.

Really well positioned pitch on the edge of the site enjoying views over the countryside. Didn't have any plugs for the sinks in our private bathroom - reported on the app but no response.

Great site, warm welcome by reception (even dog got a goodie pack!). Easy access to lakeside beach / restaurant. Facilities high spec and roomy pitches. Good pool with plenty of loungers / chairs. Only slight issue slow service at on site restaurant.

We had an amazing time. Maybe another bin area at the other end of the campsite would be more convenient. The access around the barrier for cyclists and walkers would be better if it were concrete or tarmac

A very clean site with good shower and toilet facilities. Friendly helpful reception staff. A very nice indoor/ outdoor pool area. Very good watersports area if you like canoeing etc. the only downside to our stay was the bar/restaurant. We ordered pizzas and beers, paid and sat outside. We were told they would be ready in about 10 minutes. Some time later we noticed that other guests who had arrived later than us were eating their meals. We asked the waitress, who pointed to the bar, where our pizzas had been sat in takeaway boxes and had gone cold. She said she would flash heat them for us. We expected they would arrive on plates with cutlery, but the waitress just brought the reheated pizzas boxes, dropped them onto the table and walked away without a word. Disgusting behaviour and 0 points for customer service.

A super place but we were here when there were a small number of travellers. It would feel a little congested when full in summer especially in the toilet and shower areas. More probsbly needed
